The Birth of Jesus: Jesus Is Accesible

The Birth of Jesus: Jesus Is Accesible

 Luke 2

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no guest room available for them” (verse 6-7). Jesus came to us in the most humble manner to show that He is accessible.

Humility- Jesus Is Accessible

JESUS slept in a manger; the King of kings did not come pampered or privileged, He came humbly. There were no more rooms at the inns of Bethlehem, so Mary and Joseph stayed in the outskirts of town. After Mary had Jesus, she placed Him in a manger, not some posh crib that you would expect a king to lay in.

Jesus’s appeared on earth in the lowliest of circumstances. The Lord of lords condescended to come to us; He left the perfection of heaven to come down to a place that was so far from perfect. Jesus left comfort to give the world hope, to give YOU hope.

Why was Jesus born in such circumstances? After all, He is Jesus. Jesus being born in meekness shows that He is approachable, accessible and available to ALL people in ALL circumstances. You don’t have to do too much to have access to Jesus Christ; He made himself low so that even those cast away by society could relate to him. The humble beginnings of Jesus should remind us that we will never be too dirty, broken, poor or weak to call on the name of Jesus.

Recieve Christ Because He Has Received You

Today, be reminded of the purpose of Jesus’s life. Christ came to the world and died for us so that we could live in freedom. Jesus has given you access to Him. He isn’t someone that you have to come to when you are perfect, that will never happen. Jesus lived humbly to show us how He is accessible and relatable.

The issue isn’t that Jesus is wrathful and unwilling to welcome you with open hands. The issue is that often times, we do not believe in the ministry of Jesus Christ. We must receive God because He has broken down any blockade that will stop us from feeling that He is not accessible. Your money, work, pedigree, and sin…yes even sin, cannot stop you from having a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. He is here, he is waiting for YOU to make that move. Don’t allow another year to pass without knocking on God’s door because you think that you aren’t good enough. Every aspect of your life was accounted for before the beginning of time, fall into God’s open arms.

It’s very easy to keep busy during the Holiday season; holiday parties, shopping, work projects, the list is endless. We go through the season without appreciating why it exists in the first place. Don’t spend this holiday without acknowledging Jesus Christ. Be reminded of the Lord’s ministry and how His entrance into the world changed humanity forever; Jesus Christ came down to seek you, so welcome Him. Don’t hide from His face any longer thinking that you aren’t good enough; that has never been a requirement set up by God.

Jesus Christ has opened the door to give you access to Him, now it is your turn to let Him have access to you.

Stay blessed,

It is so true! I am genuinely enjoying the holiday season this year, even though I’ve hated it in the past. The reason? I’m focused on Jesus this year!
