A Love Letter To My Daughter: God’s Love

God’s Love For you

Dear Daughter,

I LOVE YOU. I loved you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Dear daughter everything that you have deemed imperfect was made by my perfect will. I crafted you from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head. I make no mistakes in anything that I do; you were not a mistake.

Out of all creations, you were the one I had to touch in order to create. Dear daughter, I made you in my own image, after my own likeness to have dominion over all the earth. Insecurity cannot exist when I have given you power. Stand tall like you were made to stand, you cannot dominate while sitting down. I am a perfect God, I am a beautiful God, and because I have called the Holy Spirit to live within you, because I have made you in my image, this makes you beautiful, this makes you powerful. Dear daughter, you are not called to be weak, but a powerful heiress of the Kingdom.

Do you not know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made and that you are an aroma of me among those that are perishing. I am a God of good scent, and because I share this scent with you, so are you a creation with a good scent. Stop hiding among others; I have called YOU to share my aroma; I have called you for such a time as this. Dear daughter, I know that you have sinned, I know that people have sinned against you, but don’t let that stop you from walking upright. Dear daughter, I LOVE you. Love never ends, it is patient, kind, and it does not keep a tally of wrongdoing. I don’t care about what you have done in the past, you have been washed anew and I Love you and will always love you. If you only knew how I felt when you self-medicated, when you hurt yourself when you buried yourself in men and in sin.

Dear daughter, I am bleeding from your hurt, from your insecurity, and from your fear. I don’t care what the world has told you, YOU are my light. Don’t turn off your torch; shine bright like you were meant to shine. Shine so that everyone can see the beauty that I see, shine so that you may allow others to shine with you. Shine because you were called to do so. Dear daughter, you were made on purpose and for a purpose. You are beautiful, you are precious, you are loved, and YOU are mine.

Your heavenly Father

You Are Uniquely Made- Lisa Bevere

In Lisa Bevere’s words “ You are the only example of you”, no one else can fill the role or the purpose that God has made for you. As God’s daughter, you were made on purpose and for a purpose for such a time as this. Stop letting insecurity push you down. Stop forgetting whom you belong to; you belong to a God that “loves you uniquely rather than equally”, you cannot be replaced (Lisa Bevere, 2016). By being unique, you are a prototype without equal or rival. Stop living a lie and “Go ahead and be what you were made to be.” (Romans 12:5-6).

Don’t masking yourself because you want to fit in this world, you already fit in the Kingdom of God. It is so much harder to be who you are not than to be whom you were called to be. The former will lead to more hurt, pain, and insecurity. Being who you were called to be will lead to great joy and purpose. When you are shaken and the world rejects you “ It is vastly important that you never lose who you are and the creator to whom you belong to” (Lisa Bevere, 2016). You are God’s creation, stop letting people demote you into something less than. Stop taking the worst alternative for you life out of fear and insecurity. “ You are uniquely loved and are a unique expression of God’s love to others” (Lisa Bevere, 2016.

Embrace God’s Love

As women, we are faced with so many enemies telling us that we are not worthy, that we are not good enough, that we need to be a size 2 to be beautiful. Our lips have to be a certain level of plump, we have to be smart and intelligent but still spend 3 hours putting on makeup by the same companies that abuse us. It is very easy to become immersed in all of these negative pressures and to start believing all the lies. It is easy to start calling yourself by the names that have been thrown at you all your life. But, we have a heavenly father that surpasses all negative comments and pressures. Our heavenly father calls each and every one of us by name; He does not use nouns like ugly and fat, but precious, beautiful and unique. It is time that we start calling God’s words over our lives.

Dear God, if there is any woman reading this that is dealing with insecurity, let her be reminded of your love for her. You love her more than anyone can ever love her, and because of this she has the right to stand tall. Dear heavenly father cast out all fears from her life, and allow her to walk in peace, joy, and confidence. In Jesus name, Amen

Stay blessed,

Feeling Overlooked: The Gift Of Being Hidden

Feeling Overlooked? Hidden?

Do you ever feel like no one sees you? Like there is so much inside of you that has yet to be revealed? Do you feel like opportunities haven’t been presented to you? You find yourself being overlooked, do you feel hidden?

People can clearly see you, I am not referring to being physically hidden, but it seems that your giftings and anointing are being overlooked, it’s as if they aren’t there. Why has God downloaded all these things inside of you without providing any opportunities for it to be revealed?

I have felt hidden, I have felt overlooked. And although I am a big proponent of allowing God to unveil what is inside you, that’s it! I am a big proponent of allowing God to unveil what is inside of you in HIS timing. Let me repeat that, I am a big proponent of allowing God to unveil what is inside of you in HIS timing. You may or may not want to hear this, but it is a gift to be hidden and God may hide parts of you from the world for your own benefit.

Now I am not saying that God is keeping you to himself, and doesn’t want the world to see your light, no. We are called to be the light of the world. However, there are some giftings in you, some characteristics, some anointing that has yet to be revealed…on purpose.

Right Time, Right Place

Some of your giftings have not met the right environment or season, therefore will stay in a hiding place. In the period before the unveiling, God will prune that gifting, will build it and prepare you to reveal it in a way that will make a large impact. He is even preparing the hearts of people to receive what is inside of you. So no, being hidden is not a bad thing when it is done by God.

When you purposely seclude yourself from the world, that my friend is not healthy and that is not of God. But I think we can all identify certain gifts, projects and plans that are deep inside of us that have not come to life. This is God’s security blanket for us, it is not a curse.

So you have applied to a million schools, have done everything on your part, but have yet to get an acceptance letter…you might be in God’s hiding place. So you’ve worked your butt off at work, you come in early and leave late, but your employer has yet to notice you…you might be in God’s hiding place. Everyone says how sweet you are, you look good, you focus your mind on Jesus, you pray for a Godly relationship, and it seems like everyone is finding a spouse except you…you might be in God’s hiding place.

Are you following? There is an appropriate time and place for everything, and that gift may not have reached its perfect time and place for ripening.

They say the right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing. To add to that, the right thing at the wrong place is also the wrong thing. There are specific environments that are necessary to grow your gift and to accept that gift. You may not be at a place ready for your unveiling. You may not be in a season where that gifting is ripe enough to be released to the world.

Wait on the Lord and trust that He knows what He is doing.

The Lord has a plan to unfold everything He has downloaded into you. But, you have to trust that He will do so in His timing.

It is a gift to be hidden because….

      1. Being thrown into an environment prematurely can destroy you. You might think that you are ready to lead that group, take that promotion and be in that relationship…but you don’t know the full story like God does. Your life is not a television show, if you fast forward to the next scene and have issues understanding the scene, you can’t rewind to the previous scene.

Once a season is gone, it is gone! so don’t give up the opportunity to maximize the season that you are in. You have to learn the necessary lessons and build the appropriate character before moving on, or else you will burn.

2.There is a lot of growth found in the hiding place. You are able to allow God to mature you privately without scrutiny. Growing in the limelight is not easy, ask any childhood star! it is a gift to be able to make mistakes and to grow without all eyes being on you.

   3. It protects God’s children. Being placed in an environment prematurely is not just dangerous for you but dangerous for those that are in your sphere of influence. Imagine how destructive it could be to lead a company with little experience…imagine the effect it would have on your employees, on their families.

Preparation is key for the sake of those you are being protected for. This life we live is not only for our sake. Being overlooked for that one job may have been a blessing! That guy that didn’t text you back… count your blessings sis!

   4. Jesus was hidden. We forget that the bible does not speak about a large portion of Jesus’s life. A short portion of his childhood is revealed, but we aren’t aware of his story again until he is 30. We don’t know and will never know what happened in that gap.

We can imagine that Jesus was living his life, doing his work, and being pruned to fulfill his ministry. The point is, being hidden is necessary. There is no need for the masses to know what God is doing in you…in due season it will be revealed through your fruit.

 Hear Me Roar

I think our generation has a way of wanting things quickly. As soon as God begins to teach us something, we are quick to stop learning, believing that we have all the necessary lessons. We are quick to share, to implement. We don’t always take the time for God to mature what He has started in us. It’s a move out the way, hear me roar mentality.

I don’t want you to dim down your light, no, no. no, I want you to roar, as God leads you to.  But I do want you to take a step back and appreciate the work that God is doing in you. I urge you to take a step back and reflect. Don’t move ahead of God! there are gifts in you that are not ready to be exposed. Trust in His timing. It is ok to be in God’s hiding place.

Stay blessed,

Fighting Insecurity: Affirmation Printables

Insecurity, the dreaded word, but one that many of us are so familiar with. There are so many places of insecurity that a person can feel. I have battled insecurity and still have some patches of me that I am insecure about but by the grace of God, His power in me has become so much greater than the little voice of insecurity that tries to speak up. Fighting insecurity is possible when we allow God to fills us up.

Unfortunately, insecurity is an issue that most women and most people in general deal with; whether it is insecurity in regards to your physicality or your mental, spiritual, or intellectual capability. I don’t know what insecurities you might have dealt with or continue to deal with, but I do know that YOU are indeed enough. Secondly, the word of God, the truth, has the ability to overshadow every bit of insecurity you might have.

I believe God has planted a lot in me, and in you as well, and sometimes I feel that I am incapable of doing what God has called me to do today and tomorrow. That maybe God made a mistake in positioning me where He has me. I can find myself using my mistakes as a reason to drop out the race instead of a method of growth. But what I have found is that I alone am not capable of doing what God has called me to do, but with God everything is capable. The God in me has provided the wisdom and the grace to navigate through life. The bible says “And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified”.(Romans 8:30).

God does not call qualified people!!!! God has qualified you because He has called you, and nobody in this world can take God’s qualification from you.

You are enough. I wish I could yell this out to you all until you truly believe it, but you have to make the decision to believe the truth. You are beautiful, you are smart, and you are wise. There is no gifting that is hidden from you; you have been given access to all gifts from heaven to do the work of the Lord.

Although God has done a work in me and healed some wounds of insecurity, the enemy, you may agree, has a way of picking at you especially in those trying season. That is why it is so important to wash yourself with the word of God; affirmation is important in fighting insecurity. Whenever the enemy speaks, respond with a truth and watch the power of God transform you.

This is why I have created these affirmation printable cards for you. My hope is that it will be a constant reminder of what God is doing in you.

My prayer is that these affirmation cards will help you in fighting insecurity. The word of God has the power to transform darkness into light. Whenever you find darkness creeping in, don’t allow it to have an extended stay, keep it at bay. You are enough and have enough.

I would recommend printing the prayer cards on cardstock paper for durability.

You can easily print the cards at Staples or Office Depot if you don’t have cardstock at home.

If you are crafty, I would recommend investing in cardstock paper for your home. I bought mine at Staples for about $10. I got a whole stack of 200 sheets and I now use it to make greeting cards, thank you cards, and my printable prayer cards! It’s definitely worth the investment.

I printed mine at home and I fit 4 cards/ sheet. I choose to print individually and not front and back, but that is up to you…make it to your own liking!

#2. Cut out each card

You can use scissors, but if you are like me and can’t cut in a straight line, you might want to use a paper cutter

#3 Hole punch your cards on the top left corner

Easy enough right!

#4 Connect your cards with a ring

And you are ready to use your printables. I throw these cards in my purse so they follow me wherever I go. These verses are a great reminder of God’s truth whenever I am dealing with something, and it is also a great way to meditate and memorize verses.

Stay Blessed,

Rachel: Overcoming Shame

“Rachel, you are a liar. You have nothing of value to say. You are sexually immoral. All you bring is shame. You can never be loved. Everything you touch breaks. You are broken.”

This is me. Or rather, this is who I thought God called me to be. Not knowing that these were words from the devil to keep me in bondage; to keep me masked and from walking in my purpose. You may be thinking, “Sis, did you really battle with these thoughts? You are always laughing and smiling. This can’t be!”

Well, for the longest time this was my truth. I believed that the things that happened to me in my past were God’s way of punishing me. I suppressed these thoughts for so long that when I did become saved, I found myself backsliding and sinning.

I was that fig tree, full of leaves but bearing no fruit; the appearance of a Christian on fire for God, but I wasn’t maturing in my walk. I couldn’t see beyond my circumstances. there was lust and deeply rooted unforgiveness in my heart that I did not want to see. So I continued to fold into a cocoon of loneliness only to be consoled by the lies of this world.

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Ephesians 5:11 (ESV)

 Overcoming Shame

I realized that to truly experience freedom, I had to rip off the bandages and expose my wounds. I was reluctant to fully let God in, but I soon realized that God reveals things if you open up to Him.

It seemed as though my wounds became deeper and deeper with no escape in sight. And it may seem like that for you too, however, He DOES provide an escape if you lay your issues at His feet and leave them there.

I found myself stumbling upon scriptures and sermons that casted away every single feeling of doubt and hatred I had stored up in my heart. When I thought God was done, He continued to place impactful people in my life who held me accountable, kept me grounded, and reassured the importance of having God’s hand over every aspect of my life. In my quiet moments, God taught me that my past did not define me; it made me a relatable witness for those searching for His truth.

“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV)

The scales from my heart have been removed. I can now bask in the glory of Christ without having to be ashamed or question who I am. I AM a reflection of God. God is continually showing me who I am by washing me with His words; Words of affirmation, love, and destiny.

“Rachel, you are beautiful. You are whole. You are not alone and will never be alone. Your voice is valuable. Your words and actions bring healing to others. You are the testament of a conqueror, so invest in the trees around you.”

So I urge you to cast every single care you have on Him. Do not listen to a single lie that this crooked world tries to throw at you. Do not allow anyone to speak words over your life that contradict the words that Christ unceasingly breathes over your heart. Truly invite God in and He will unveil your hidden beauty.

Won’t He do it! The Lord is so amazing and wonderful. His grace transforms our lives. Thank you, Rachel for reminding us of God’s unwavering love. Thank you for reminding us that He is near to the brokenhearted and that He provides healing when we open up to Him. You are a gem, and I pray that you continue to blossom into your destiny.

Debi: Dealing With Insecurities

We waste an incredible amount of time wanting to be somewhere else, someone else. Our head-space gets clogged with compare, contrast, what if, why can’t, I should. We become our toughest critics and start to create this mentality of “I am not enough” or “I need her/his life to be happy” when in reality you are who you are on purpose and for a purpose. Of course, one does not simply know that without fully understanding their identity in Christ. So we build a sort of castle where we become the damsel in distress, with the feeling that we are too worthless to be saved, but we soon learn that dealing with insecurities is vital to our growth.

Romans 12:6 (MSG)

“Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we’re made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t”

Veiled- Dealing With Insecurities

I’ve always had my fair share of insecurities. They ranged from things I could control to things I couldn’t. My inability to fully love myself in spite of my insecurities began to induce doubts/fears into my life and tear away the joy that once resided in my soul. I needed to change when others changed, to be when other people started to be. I did not necessarily want to be better; but fit into the mold of those who did not even know what path they were taking. I wanted to take the road most traveled because I knew it guaranteed acceptance. I was fearful, fearful of being too smart, too creative, and too appealing.

But it soon occurred to me how much of myself I’d given at the expense of other people’s approval. I was losing myself, and I needed time to nurture my spirit man and find myself. Not the me I thought I was, or the me others might have labeled me to be, but simply me in all my fullness, imperfections, flaws, talents, and fears.

I don’t believe we can know entirely who we are in one year, let alone a single day. However, I believe that every second of our life counts for something, so why waste it? Why waste precious time trying to fit into someone else’s box, when God uniquely created you for an entirely different purpose?

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it (ASV)

I remember reading this verse and thinking wow! I am an individual with a part in the body of Christ. It seems silly now, but back then, I felt like everyone else. God was able to gently remind me that He has counted every hair on my head, He has given me a future and hope, He has plans for me, and I am royalty before His eyes.

It is incredibly easy to be like others. To walk around without purpose or calling. However, it is so rewarding to know that YOU are accounted for.

The way you laugh, look, smell, and dress is different!

Even the way you think is different. Being genuine and true to yourself is the best thing you can do. For yourself. For others. The world is tired of copies. Be original; Romans 12:2.

Security In Christ

My new-found security in Christ and in my own identity has given me clarity. I see now how strong and powerful I am when I submit and let God take the lead in my life. The way I carry myself and how I handle certain situations have completely changed now that I am secure in Christ.

I will always remember a quote by Marianne Williamson that says,

“You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

So I invite you to unveil and come out of hiding. You are You. You are safe in His arms.

Wow, wasn’t that beautiful? Thank you, Debi, for sharing your wonderful testimony with us, I pray that God continues to reveal to you His purpose for your life. Your ability to unveil into the beautiful woman that you are teaches us that we are never ” too much”, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that the world needs us to be us. No more comparing, no more hiding behind insecurities, it is time to let our light shine.

Have you read my unveiling. Come check it out!

Unveiled: Revealing Hidden Beauty

I use to be that girl, the girl in the corner afraid to speak up, to let her voice be heard, to be seen. I use to be the girl that didn’t know just how beautiful she was, I was that shy girl…you know that girl that you easily pass by. I was afraid of revealing my hidden beauty.

Before I was here, I was there, a hidden place. All the gems and beautiful quirks that God so intricately planted in me was hidden deep inside of me. I didn’t let anybody in; I didn’t let anybody see me. You see, I (and you too) have an enemy, and the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. By destroying who I was meant to be, I became less of an obstacle for the enemy to do what he does best.

I was shy, broken, insecure, lost, with an identity that I didn’t understand. I was veiled, veiled by the evil one.

You might be familiar with the old me, you might have been her or is still her. But something has to change, you cannot stay veiled. The Lord placed so many gems inside of you; He placed characteristics, dreams, and wonders in you that can move nations. You can’t let Satan mask what the Lord has perfectly created, you must reveal your hidden beauty. You are wonderful, beautiful and have a voice that needs to be heard, you need to be seen just as much as everyone else.

How To Unveil

It is only through Jesus Christ that you may become the person you were meant to be. My unveiling was and continues to be a journey. Each and every day, the Lord shows me more and more of who I was meant to be. He reveals the hidden parts of me that I thought was dead, the parts that the devil wanted to steal.

For the longest time, I believed the lie that I wasn’t good enough and not deserving of God’s amazing wonders. I accepted a life of survival because I didn’t believe that I was “special” enough to experience heaven on earth. The devil led me to believe that my mistakes would stop me from experiencing more of God. I thought that endless joy and peace were for the few. I thought that my quirks made me weird, that it was a mistake on God’s part… an oopsie.

Little did I know that no sin could separate me from God’s love. That my story was written before time, that God knew me before I was in my mother’s womb and that the Lord is perfect and doesn’t make mistakes on His creations. Little did I know that I was God’s favorite (and you are too). I didn’t know that it pleases the Lord to bless his children, to bless me.

When you don’t know the truth, it is easy to believe lies. To become unveiled, you must meditate on the Word of God; you have to know what God thinks of YOU. When you open up your heart to Jesus, you will realize that His view of you is infinitely better than your view of you.

The Lord’s words

My father, the Lord of lords, the King of kings tells me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. That my presence will bring nations towards Him, that my house shall be blessed because of me. In my brokenness, I am beautiful.  I am His favorite, the apple of His eye. God tells me that my quirks make me different, and that is ok, I was never meant to be like everyone else. He tells me that I shouldn’t hide the part of me that wants to love and care deeply; it is those characteristics that the people around me need the most.

My father tells me that He made no mistakes when He formed me. No longer should I hide, the world needs what He has placed in me; I am the salt of the earth. I shouldn’t fear rejection but reject fear. He tells me it is time to be unveiled.

What is the Lord telling you?

It is time for your unveiling.
